Benefits

Frequently asked questions

How do I make my photo background white?

Upload the photo, then tap the white swatch. The background is removed and replaced with plain white, and you can download it as a JPG — which is what most passport and form uploads ask for.

Why does the first photo take a little longer?

The first time you use the tool, your browser downloads a one-time AI model (about 25–44MB, depending on the option). A progress bar shows exactly how far along it is. After that the model is cached, so every later photo is processed in seconds — even offline.

Can I get a transparent background?

Yes. Choose the Transparent option and download the result as a PNG. JPG cannot store transparency, so a transparent result is always saved as PNG.

Is my photo uploaded anywhere?

No. Both modes run entirely in your browser on your own device, so your photo never leaves it and nothing is stored on a server.

The edges don't look clean — what can I do?

Use an evenly lit photo, stand away from the wall to reduce shadows, and avoid clothing that matches the background. A clear, front-facing photo gives the cleanest cut-out.

Is this tool free?

Yes, it's completely free with no sign-up and no watermark on your image.
